The city of Winter Park has a storied history as one of the most charming communities in the South.
In 1985, Andre Nikitine expanded the family business from Puerto Rico, acquiring the 528,000-square-foot Winter Park Mall. Orlando’s first enclosed shopping mall and the South’s largest fully-enclosed shopping center, Winter Park Mall was hailed as a “symbol of progress.”
After thriving for many years, in 1997, then-owner Vadim Nikitine (son of the original owner) and Brett Hutchens (Partner of CASTO Southeast Realty) created a new plan for the site.
Officially dedicated in November 1999, the new mixed use, open-air Winter Park Village opened, introducing Regal Cinemas, P.F. Chang’s, Cheesecake Factory, Guitar Center, a Borders Bookstore, 58 Loft Unit apartments, and other popular retailers.
The new vision centers around five novel zones, each with curated features and experiences, create unique sensations and tones that span energetic to subdued.
